I used to have scented polishes as a a kid and was excited when Revlon starting releasing these just because of the nostalgia factor. I have Grape Icy and some blueberry scented one I haven't used yet. The scent of this one is cloyingly sweet. I sleep with my hands curled up next to my face and for the first night the scent was kind of distracting. But I don't care, I think it's cool to have scented nails. The scent slowly faded, but even at the end I could still smell it faintly. Using a top coat over does not affect the scent after the polish dries. Oh, you can make your own scented polishes, too. I put a few drops of peppermint essential oil into a franken and after it dried my nails smelled like mint. I'm sure you could use frgarance oils, too.
This polish is pretty sheer. If you've used Revlon polishes, the formula is pretty recognizably Revlon. I think this was 3 coats. It may have been 4, but my brain is being a butthole lately and doesn't like to function properly.

Thank you for reading and have a great day/night/whatever!
I love the smell of grape and I love purple. My hands are basically tied. LOL. I have to get Grape Icy.
ReplyDeleteI hope there are other scents, I love purple but not really a fan of artificial grape stuff...
ReplyDeleteYour nails look so pretty too!
I find scented polishes entirely odd and confusing. When I heard of them initially, I thought the scent would be to replace the gross smell of polish. That made sense to me. This? Not so much.
ReplyDeleteOh I love this! I tried the Gumdrop one, and the smell was a little strange but not terrible, like you said.
ReplyDeleteI am in LOVE with this colour! Scented nail polish? I didn't know they had such a thing, that's pretty neat! As for feeling a little unravelled.....I am so there right now! Sometimes we all go through some stressful times in life, but try to keep your chin up! Things will get better! :)
