Urban Decay's Rollergirl Palette Swatches and Review

When I first saw swatches of Urban Decay’s Rollergirl palette I knew it had to mine.  I called my local Sephora once a week.  And they never knew what I was talking about.  “The Naked palette, you mean?” They would ask me.  “No”, I would tell them every time, “it’s new for summer.”  “Hmm, I haven’t even heard of it,” they would say EACH TIME.  I like the girls at my Sephora but it’s sad when the consumer knows more about their products than the employee!  I ended up giving up on calling and just decided to wait.

I finally got my dirty little hands on the palette a few weeks ago and it’s just as amazing as I had hoped.  I already have Darkhorse from the Naked palette, but it’s such a gorgeous color I don’t mind having another.  ALL of the colors are gorgeous actually.  Even Verve feels unique to me.  And of course I love the hot pink.

Like all Urban Decay’s shadows these are soft, smooth, and pigmented.  Urban Decay is known for making glitterbombs, but none of these were like that.  I didn’t experience any fallout when using these.  Searching for anything negative I guess it would be that the hot pink isn’t quite as pigmented or smooth as the other three, but only slightly.

Crush Lip Junkie lip gloss
I was surprised at how much I liked the lip gloss also.  It looks really juicy and I love the color.  It’s isn’t too sticky and feels really nice.

  2. The only shade I'm really into is Woodstock, so I'm not sure it's worth buying for me.

  3. I have the same experience with my Sephora. When I went in looking for UDPP in squeeze tubes? "What? No, we don't have those. They're on the site?!? ...well, then they must be online only." And then, a week later, they have them in stock, after I've already ate shipping charges. Yaaaay.

I am DEFINITELY eyeing the Rollergirl palette... but I think I'll do what I usually do and wait til it's clearanced, lol.

  4. Oh this looks even better than I thought it did the first time I saw it (I think over at Temptalia or something!). Thanks for the great post!
I feel that way a lot with stores, sadly. I went into a MAC store when the Champale collection was out and I asked the girl about undertones and she didn't know what I was talking about, lol!

  5. I want this! Sometimes the people at Sephora don't seem to know what is going on, though I don't blame them, there's enough makeup to choke a horse in there. I was just at a Sephora and they didn't have this nor know what I was looking for. They also didn't have the MUFE Aqua Liners in yet! I was very crabby :(

  6. @Ev- you should, it's awesome!

@Vijaya- Woodstock is sold as a single, isn't it? If you HAD to have it, that is always an option.

@Miss Bekka- Ooo, I hope it goes on clearance because it's gorgeous! I was too afraid to wait for that in case I missed out. I've been burned by waiting too many times!

@Steph- after seeing swatches I knew I wanted it, but now I like it even more than I thought I would. Oh, and sometimes I think MAC hired people because they fit their aesthetic, not because they always know what they're doing.

@Vulcan_Butterfly- Yeah, I understand why the employees can be a little behind with releases and such. I just don't like when they act like I don't know what I'm talking about just because they haven't heard of it. Ah, I've been wanting those MUFE liners too. I need to call my Sephora and see if they have them yet! I have a gift card burning a hole in my pocket.

  7. I pick this up and put it back every time I'm at Ulta. I keep trying to tell myself I have too many similar colors. BUT...I want it still....!!
