So, as you may know,
Zoya's Nail Polish Exchange is going on this week. What is pretty much boils down to is that you get polish for $4 a bottle, whic includes shipping. Zoya's polishes normally sell for $8 each. All you have to do is mail one of your old yucky polishes to Zoya for every polish you buy. Zoya then disposes of the old stuff in a safe way. This is a great opportunity to get some great polishes and dispose of unloved nail polish in a healthy way. You have nothing to lose!
So here are a few Zoya swatches to tempt you. These are all swatched with no top or base coat.

Zoya Lola in the sun |
Lola is a neon pink with blue shimmer. This was 4 coats. Zoya polishes tend to be a bit thin and sheer but the coats dry quickly and don't get too thick or gunky.

Zoya Adina in the sun |
Adina is a gorgeous duochrome shimmer that shifts from a lavender purple to green. This is 3 coats.

Zoya Kelly in the sun |
Kelly is a dark grey creme that is supposed to lean purple, but I don't really see the purple against my skin tone. This was 3 coats.

Zoya Ivanka in the sun |
Ivanka is a grass green glass fleck shimmer. My boyfriend claims it looks like a mermaid. This was 4 coats and probably could have used a 5th, but it dried quickly.

Zoya Crystal in the sun |
Crystal is a light blue shimmer with small gold metallic flakes. The boy says this one looks like a fish, haha. This was 3 coats, but was decently opaque at 2.

Thank you for reading and have a great day/night/whatever!
I love Adina & Kelly...I have those! I think I told you before, Lola is totally calling me.nn I have no idea what else I want this order! Also did you see that you don't have to necessarily send in your bottles to Zoya? You can donate them too....(saves shipping costs, which I am all about ;) YAY polish!
ReplyDeleteThe colors in Crystal are gorgeous. Does the glitter pop out at all? I enjoy sheer colors (makes it nice for work) so the sheerness of the coats doesn't bother me, but some glitter polishes can be uh... bumpy? Is it bumpy? If it's not, I'm sold for trying that gorgeous color out ;)

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what I want either! I've been looking through Scrangie's archives for Zoya polishes and I think she nearly has the entire line swatched, haha. And I saw them say that you don't need to send yours in but it says they're using the honor system so I think I would feel bad. I guess it depends for me on how much it would cost to ship the junk ones.

Oh, Crystal isn't glitter! It looks like it would be, but I think its just made up of small metallic-looking flakes. So it isn't bumpy at all. It's also a LOT easier to remove than a glitter. In the picture I'm not wearing a top coat and it's smooth. You definitely need this one!
OMG. This pictures are awesome. I don't bite my nails, but I mess with the skin around it. I am trying not to! Also my nails chip so fast, but I loooooove these colors. I NEED THEM. They are so pretty! I really love the blue with gold in it. Matches an eyeshadow that I have ;)

ReplyDeleteI used to be the exact same way. I NEVER bit my nails, but my cuticles and the surrounding skin was always bleedy, scabby, and gross because I would pick on it. I was like this my whole life. I started wearing nail polish so I wouldn't pick as much and it has really helped. I still have relapses, but I'm getting better
