I've been on a blush buying frenzy lately and only in the past few months have stepped outside of my normal matte powder blush comfort zone. I had previously shied away from anything non-matte because one of my first makeup purchases as a young girl discovering makeup was a cheapy hot pink blush with craft sized glitter. Like many girls my age I put my on my makeup on the bus on the way to school. Unfortunately I completely over-applied the blush and had somehow managed to get glitter over my entire body. One boy told me a looked like an um, lady of the night, and it was enough to turn me off ANY blushes for years.
But my self imposed ban on things sparkly has thankfully come to an end. And Estee Lauder's Radiant Peach is a far cry from the hot pink glitterbomb of my early teens.
Radiant Peach is an orangey, peachy coral with a gorgeous gold sheen that gives a beautiful glow and doesn't make my pores look like moon craters. I have a confession to make. I didn't like NARS Orgasm. I bought and returned it the next day because it was just "meh" to me. Radiant Peach is exactly what I wished Orgasm had been.

This was taken with flash and you can't really see the lovely golden sheen, but it's there! This is the eye look from this post.
Pros:
- Smooth, creamy, finely milled texture
- Buildable pigmentation
- Doesn't make my pores appear gigantic
- $26.00 price tag is a bit high

Thank you for reading and have a great day/night/whatever!
I don't really like blush (as my cheeks are naturally very, very red) but this one looks very pretty both on your cheeks and swatched. I'm curious how the size compares to the orgasm one (my friend likes that one-- every time we pass it in sephora she'll take a look at it :) ).
ReplyDelete$26 is a lot, but it looks absolutely fab on you. It was made for your skin tone!
ReplyDeletelove the peach color ... looks a big similar to Too Faced Papa Don't Peach, but i think the Too Faced one is a bit more pinkish peach ... love the golden sheen this one has :-)
ReplyDeleteThat blush is really pretty! I could not pay that much for one thing though!
ReplyDelete@GenkiOriana- I'll have days where my cheeks are so pink I can't really wear blush either. I usually just pink on a shimmery sheer highlighter and people still ask me what blush I'm wearing! Oh wow, and I was just comapring the sizes of the blush and NARS is 0.16 oz and Estee Lauder's are 0.25 oz. NARS is a lot smaller, but I'm probably not going to get through a whole blush anytime soon...
ReplyDelete@ ahimmer- Yeah, $26 is pretty ridiculous for a blush, but I passed up other purchases I wanted for awhile so I could get it. And thank you for the compliment! For $26 I would wear this blush even if it looked like poop on me!
@Ev- I'm going to have to check out Papa Don't Preach next time I'm at Sephora. And yeah, the golden sheen is what got me.
@Kimberly- Yeah, $26 is definitely a lot for a blush. I just wanted one high end blush to see if they are worth it. I won't be buying any more any time soon, but I'm glad I got this one.
I think I just fell in love wuth your blush.... no joke, it's worth the price tag! It just has so much pretty golden shimmer to it.

My all time favorite blush is Estee Lauder Nude Rose! You're right they are expensive but something about it works so well! Radiant Peach looks lovely, I think I would like it too!
