Maybe I Need To Stop Buying Nail Polish- A Haul

So I may not be posting as much but that does not mean that my spending on nail polish has waned. In fact, it has probably increased. In the past year or two the amount of polishes available to consumers has exploded in conjunction with the popularity of nail polish itself. We now have available to us polishes from countries around the world along with the always innovative polishes from indie sellers. Big name brands have taken notice of this and stepped up their game offering a wide variety of creative colors and finishes. Now is definitely the time to be a nail addict. I'm definitely happy, but maybe my bank account isn't! These are all polishes I've bought in 2013. And there are probably more that I've stashed away in a Helmer that I've forgotten about (bad girl!).

Hard Candy polishes. From left- Crush On Pink, Crush On Tin, Fun 'N Festive, Pixie Pink, Cocoa Smore, and Gummy Green.

Sigh. I'm so, so impressed with Hard Candy and bringing out this completely revamped line of 45 polishes. I literally want every single one. I don't think that has ever happened to me before. There are maybe a few I could live without. It was almost torture limiting myself to these 6. The bottles are small at almost half the size of a standard polish, but the price is right at $4 a bottle. Just be prepared to go hunting at WalMart to find them. (Here is a list of all the polishes)

Hit Polish. From left- Tes-Stained Linen, Turq-ish Delight, On Angels Wings, and Lilacs in Bloom.

Unf. These are so pretty. I'm most excited about Tea-Stained Linen. It's so unique!

Cult Nails polishes. From left- Disciplined, Untamed, Scandalous, Flushed, Annalicious, I Got Distracted, and Spontaneous.

I finally picked up the Cult Nails polishes that had been on my wishlist when they had a sale recently. You can never go wrong with Cult Nails.

Etude House Sweet Recipe Ice Cream Nail Polishes (not sure if they have actually names but the colors are numbered 1-4).

I was REALLY excited for these. The whole Etude House Sweet Recipe collection looks amazing, but these called out to me the loudest. These polishes were shipped all the way from South Korea (Etude House is a Korean brand) and I couldn't be happier. Korean cosmetics and skincare are becoming a new obsession for me. (I bought these on eBay)

Hits Mari moon Modern set. From left- Cool, Dreamer, Trendy, and Cutie Pie.

More foreign polishes! These are from Brazil and I bought them from Ninja Polish. I have the Unique Set (and posted about it here) and need the Modern Set to round out my collection. These polishes are a must in any polish lover's collection. Especially Cutie Pie. I think I need a back up of it.

From left- Ninja Polish Divinity and Nebula, A England Dragon, Hits Salsa and CanCan.

The rest of the polishes from my Ninja Polish order. You can't tell from the picture but Divinity is a multichrome in the same vein as Clarins 230 and Max Factor Fantasy Fire. The bottle of Nebula is backward because it shows the color shift in the bottle better. The A England polish is a long time lemming that I'm super excited to finally have. And lastly the two Hits polishes are color changing flakies in a colored base. It's hard to tell with Salsa, but it has the same color flakies as Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure and Essie Shine of the Times.

From left- Orly Orange Crush, China Glaze Beach Cruise-r and Surreal Appeal, Essence Oh My Glitter!

Some random polishes. The first three I think I got on clearance at Ulta or Sally Beauty. Something like that. It was a busy polish buying day.

From left- Rainbow Honey Be Mine, Urban Outfitters Chilly, Ulta XOXO and Diva, and OPI Fresh Frog of Bel Air

Last batch of random polishes. I needed Be Mine by Rainbow Honey to round out my Valentine's collection from them. The Urban Outfitters glitter polish I'm really excited about. I wish I had bought a few more polishes while I was there but I was trying to be restrained. And the last three were Ulta impulse purchases.

And theeeeeeeeeeeere we go. I really should stop buying polishes faster than I can wear them. Do you see anything that catches your eye?

My Number One Talent- Spending Money

First of all I want to thank those of you who comment on my mopey post yesterday. Everything you guys said really touched me and I immediately started crying like the big weepy dope that I am. I've decided to stop putting so much pressue on myself to post every day. If I don't have anything to say that day, I'm not going to beat myself up about not posting. Well, I'm going to try this anyway. :) I'm feeling a bit better right now. Hopefully it stays that way!

As you may know I've been reaaaally trying to cut back on my spending. I actually went a few weeks without buying anything, which is a record for me. I'm a sucker for a sale, so this weekend and all the labor day sales were especially difficult. But I did it! So, to reward myself, I spent money. Haha, I'm so bad. But at Walgreens most Maybelline cosmetics are 40% off until Sunday and I had a bunch of $1 coupons so I couldn't resist. I ended up paying $36 plus tax for what would have been $79 plus tax full price.

Sometimes I feel like my blog is a little impersonal and I think maybe that is why my interest in blogging is waning a bit. Like every other human being who has ever existed, I like talking about myself. You are under no obligation to pay attention; if you want to just look at the pretty makeup pictures, that's cool, too. Just as long as you keep coming back! Haha.

When I was in high school my parents bought a house out in the middle of nowhere. The area was gorgeous. We lived right up against a body of water called a resaca (apparently they're former channels of the Rio Grande). Our back yard went right up to the edge of this water. We had a shitty metal boat and one oar, but my boyfriend and I liked to out and paddle around looking for alligators. I never saw one, but my parents did a few times! I sort of miss living there, but my parents sold the house and moved back to Austin when my brother graduated from high school.

Thank you for reading and have a great day/night/whatever!

A Haul- Or I Can't Believe I Bought Stuff OTHER Than Makeup

Doesn't it feel like I'm always complaining how I don't have time to write proper posts? Well, that. Again.  I have a few posts brewing including a review of Spellbound Cosmetics that I can hopefully finish up over the weekend.  For now, it's anothe rinstallment of "shit I bought recently".  I've been trying to cut back on my spending and i think I'm doing pretty well.  What I've bought recently I've either really wanted for awhile, or was on sale (and mostly both because I'm a sucker for sales). I'm also trying to branch out with my purchases because all I ever buy is makeup. So I bought some jewelry. These are probably the first pieces of jewelry I've bought since I was 13 and shopped at Claire's. I told you guys I don't accessorize.

My nails have been such a pain in the ass the past few month. They're brittle, peeling, dry, and just generally weak.  I've been taking biotin pills for a few weeks but it will take longer than that to see results.  I think I might be damagine my nails by using straight acetone all the time. I've heard great things about Zoya's Remove+ nail polish remover so when they had a code to get a free 8 ounce bottle of remover I picked up the 32 oz. to go with it. $25 is a lot to spend on nail polish remover, but it if helps my nails, it's worth it. Plus, the huge bottle *should* last for awhile.

I bought the Cover Girl Natureluxe gloss balm on Amazon when they had a $3 off coupon for it. I have Amazon Prime, which gives you free 2-day shipping so all I paid for this was $2.99. No tax or shipping! Yay! I just wish that Amazon wasn't so wasteful in ow they package things. I got a huge box for this tiny little balm.

I bought a Heartsy certificate (personal referral link) for this store because I thought their earrings were really cute.  I paid $8 for the certificate worth $20. My boyfriend said they look like little girl earrings but that's precisely why I like them!

I LOVE this necklace! You may have heard of this Whimsy Beading because they seem to be a favorite of bloggers. It's easy to see why because this necklace is gorgeous! I've been wanting one for awhile and finally decided to buy. I had a super hard time narrowing down the one I wanted, but I definitely plan on buying more when funds allow!

Here is the one I bought- it's called Poet Seas.

See? I didn't do TOO much damage! Hopefully I can remember to actually wear my jewelry...

Thank you for reading and have a great day!

Purchases, Acquisitions, and Upcoming Reviews

Today's post is probably a bit boring, sorry!  I have another freakin exam today.  I'm a bit worried about this, but I *should* be okay (fingers crossed).  This may be my last test for my chemistry class, depending on how well I do.  If I have an A average overall in the class after this test I don't have to take the final exam.  Which I'm really hoping I don't have to take because I've already forgot everything we learned at the beginning!
I haven't been posting a lot of reviews lately just because of the time issue, but that hasn't stopped me from acquiring new pretties!  This is a lot of stuff, but don't think that I bought it all in the past week or anything.  All of this has been over the past 2 months or so and some was bought with various giftcards, discounts, or given to me. I like when people post about their recent purchases or hauls, so I hope you guys like it too.  Be prepared for seeing reviews/swatches of all this in the future!

I'm so excited about this one- I received my first items for review!  Squee!  This is especially cool to me because I don't go seeking brands out trying to get them to send me things; it just feels kinda weird to do that for me.  But Wet n Wild Tweeted that they had some items for review and they were looking for people to send them to.  They asked to send samples of your work.  I figured since they were asking it wouldn't hurt to send them an email.  I sent them an email talking a little bit about my blog and added links to my previous Wet n Wild reviews.  I didn't expect to hear back from them as my blog is still pretty small, but I heard back from them within a few hours saying that they loved my blog and asking for my address.

I have been really impressed with Wet n Wild's PR team.  They respond quickly, never made me feel pressured to give their products good reviews just because they sent them to me for free, and were very nice.  They just asked that when I did review to send them the links.  Even my boyfriend, Mr. Cynical, was impressed.  Of course it's in their best interest to be nice to everyone, but I just feel like they went above and beyond.  Look at the cute little note they sent in my package!

Of course just because I was sent these doesn't mean I won't be honest.  My integrity is VERY important to me personally and I don't like it when people mislead others just to get more free stuff for themselves.  I don't even want to work with a brand that exchanges products for glowing reviews.  I want the companies I support to have integrity also, and take both positive and negative feedback as an opportunity for growth and improvement.

Moving on!  Sorry for the novel!

Here are some discontinued Wet n Wild blushes that I bought on eBay. When I saw this post on Pink Sith I went to eBay to search for it.  The packaging looks different from hers, but the color looks the same.  You may be asking why I need 3 of the same color.  Well, I don't.  This was just the only auction that was up!  Plus it was only like $4 with free shipping for all 3 of these.  I would have gladly paid that for just one.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the other 2, haha.

My Pretty Zombie was on Heartsy (referral link) about 3 weeks ago and of course I had to buy a voucher.  I already have the pink mNg trio (which is incredible and I still need to post about) so I got three eyeshadows and their matching nail polishes. I don't see that she is selling the nail polish anymore, which is a shame because they look gorgeous.

I had a $25 gift certificate for Kiss My Sass Cosmetics for a few months and I finally spent it.  I'm really excited to try the glosses!

I bought a voucher for this comapany from Heartsy on a whim.  It wasn't very much and since I have the VIP thing my voucher was worth even more.  I haven't tried anything yet, but I'll let you guys know what I think.

Milani had a giveaway on Facebook a month ago or so where they were giving  a bunch of people free baked blushed in Terra Sole.  I was lucky enough to be one of them.  I thought this would be too dark for me, but it actually works well if I use a light hand.

I bought all this when Concrete Minerals was on Heartsy as well.  I still haven't tried the eyeshadows yet, but they look pretty in their jars.

Detrivore Cosmetics store is currently on hiatus as they finish moving, but I definitely recommend everyone order from them when they open back up.  This is my second order from them that I received about a month ago and am waiting to swatch until they open their store again.

When I bought the first Tarte 8th World Wonder kit from QVC several months ago I didn't realized that I had accidentally signed up for auto-delivery until I received this in the mail a week or so ago.  Unfortunately QVC doesn't sell these kits unless you signed up for auto-delivery with the first kit.  I guess i should have sent it back but I just couldn't make myself.  Don't tell my boyfriend!

I had a giftcard for QVC that I got from doing surveys so I bought this Tarte set.  This was before the other set came in the mail, so now I have this one and that one!  Luckily this one was paid for with the giftcard so I really only had to pay for the other.  Now that I think about it, let me make sure I didn't sign up for auto-delivery with this one too...

Whew, and that's it!  Thank you for reading and have a great day/night/whatever!

Disclosure: The first group of Wet n Wild products were sent to me for review.  Everything else I bought personally or with gift cards.

Recent Purchases and An Upcoming Giveaway

Hey guys!  Here is a rare double post from me.  Some days I don't feel like even thinking about writing blog posts and some days I feel like writing 500.  Today is one of those 500 days, but I'm going to restrain myself and settle for 2!

Oh, I made a Facebook page for the blog.  There isn't much going on over there at the moment, but if you want, you can head over and "Like" me- Lacquered, Painted, Polished on Facebook.

You may have guessed from "hint" in the title, but I have a giveaway coming up soon!  Soon as in, I'll be posting it in the morning!  I know I just had one a month ago, but I had a few things left to give away and I had such a fun time doing it last time I had to do another.  My boyfriend told me I shouldn't do one so soon after the last one. But I told him that I already had the stuff for it. He eventually just said, "Well, tell your friends that they can't be expecting a giveaway every month because I already have one woman (meaning me) spending all my money and I don't think I can afford any more."  He makes me laugh.  He pretends to be all crotchety, but he's really just a huge goofball.

Anyway, here are a few things I've bought recently.  Some of it may look a little familiar tomorrow when you see the giveaway, as a few things are meant for it.

These are mostly Finger Paints polishes I bought from Sally Beauty Supply.  Most of them were on clearance for $1.99.  I also couldn't resist picking up the turquoise China Glaze Crackle. The Sally Girl mini polish is for frankening.

I've had several cards with store credit for Sephora for the longest time.  I was saving them to buy the new MUFE liquid eyeliners but I got tired of waiting for my Sephora to stock them so I just bought other stuff.  I've been wanting the Lorac palette for the longest time but I knew that I would never use the bronzing luminizer tube.  So that is going in the giveaway.

So there ya go!  Keep an eye out for my giveaway in the morning!

Thank you for reading and have a great day/night/whatever!

My Cult Nails Order

Unfortunately I don't have swatches for you guys.  I think I mentioned before that I had a bad break on my swatching hand.  Not just an ugly break, but a bloody one.  I'm going to wait until my nails grow out a bit to do these gorgeous polishes justice, but I was just excited about my order and wanted to show you guys the bottle pics.

I was super impressed with the shipping time.  I order on a Tuesday and got my tracking number that same night.  So they were probably mailed the next day (Wednesday).  I recieved them on Saturday.  See? Quick!

The owner of Cult Nails, Maria, is a blogger and nail polish fanatic just like many of us.  On her blog, www.r3daily.com/, Maria often writes about the behind the scenes of starting her own company, creating new colors, and other interesting tidbits.  It's nice to a company be so forthcoming and it makes me want to support her.

Cult Nails polishes retail for $10, which may seem a bit high to those of us used to paying drugstore prices.  But really, I don't find the prices that bad for a small company just starting out.  It isn't like creating mineral eyeshadows where you can make them at home; Cult Nails actually works with a lab to formulate each of her polishes.  You can tell Maria puts a lot of thought and effort into working with the lab and picking the colors for the collections.  Most of the colors are extremely unique and the formulas of the ones I have tried so far has been amazing.  I feel like you know you are buying quality when you order from them because the owner really cares about her product.

Sorry if this seems overly gushing, but I just find it really inspiring that Maria went for her dream of starting her own company.  I think of how many times I have thought, "I should do this" and never followed through with it because I was afraid of the work it would take or was afraid of not being successful.

But anyway, on to the pictures!  I'll do swatches as soon as my nails stop being gross!

It came packaged in a Flat Rate Box.

The polishes look like little eggrolls wrapped in their packaging material.  Cotton balls are also used as packing material, which I thought was cute and clever.  Everything arrived packed well and nothing was damaged.

From left- My Kind of Cool Aid, Living Water, Iconic, Quench, Devious Nature, Cruisin' Nude, Captivated, Let Me Fly, and Always Winning
Inaugural Collection- My Kind of Cool Aid, Living Water, Iconic, Quench
A Day At The Races Collection- Devious Nature, Cruisin' Nude, Captivated, Let Me Fly, and Always Winning

You can buy Cult Nails' polishes from their website- http://shop.cultnails.com/  Polishes are $10 each or you can buy all 9 polishes for $75, which is what I did.

Thank you for reading and have a great day/night/whatever!

Recent Hauls/Purchases/Acquisitions

Sorry I don't have time for a proper post today, the class I'm taking this summer is threatening to kick my butt if I don't give it nearly every second of my free time.  And I don't take kindly to threats of violence, so I better stay on top of it. :)

I just wanted to share a few things I bought/acquired recently so you know what to expect in upcoming reviews!

I like high end makeup, but I'm a drugstore queen at heart.  I didn't buy all you see above at once, but with sales and coupons I only paid about a total of $30 for it.  You can barely buy an eyeshadow palette for 30 bucks at Sephora.  I always try to save my money to buy a few higher end things, but my natural tendency is to spend as little money as possible while acquiring the most items.  What can I say, I'm cheap.

The above are few recent indie makeup purchases.  I've really been into pink eyeshadow lately, so I just HAD to buy the pink mNg trio from My Pretty Zombie when I had the chance.  Something else I had to take advantage of (again!) was Detrivore's sale of 10 eyeshadows for $20.  Unfortunately Detrivore is closed for the next month and a half so I feel bad posting swatches when you can't even order right now!  I may just wait to post them until her shop opens again.

And last, but not least, I won Zoya's Summertime and Sunshine collection from Mary from Body and Soul when she was hosting a giveaway.  Isn't that awesome?! I was even planning on buying a few from the Sunshine collection before I found out I won.  I even love the cremes, but I have so many nail polishes that I'm pretty sure I have dupes for almost every color.  My stash is already out of control as it is, so I was thinking of saving them for a giveaway of my own.  Do you think it would be rude/weird to give away something that I won?  I just would rather them go to someone who would use them more than I would.

So there ya go.  Is there anything you've bought/reviewed recently that you're especially excited about? Feel free to share links if you want.

Thank you for reading and have a great day/night/whatever!

Random Walmart Purchases

I hate shopping in the cosmetics aisles at Walmart.  They rarely restock and the little that is there is strewn about and used (gross).  But, it's the only place to buy Hard Candy makeup.  Wendi from Makeup Zombie posted a picture of an awesome lippie from Hard Candy and it made me immediately drop everything and head to Walmart.  I went to two Walmarts and didn't find the lippie that she posted about, but I did pick up a few other things.  Including nail polish.  I ALWAYS have to buy nail polish.  I don't even know how there are still colors out there I have yet to buy.

I bought 3 petites nail polishes (that purple glitter in the middle is freakin fantabulous looking), the silver Sally Hansen crackle, one huge honkin' lipgloss with flakies from Hard Candy, 2 Hard Candy lip pencils, and a Milani lipgloss.  Not sure why I bought the Milani gloss.  It's virtually sheer and it smells like tongue depressors from the doctor's office. Oh, and that big thing on the left?  I finally got a mirror! I put my makeup on at my desk since the lighting in both my bathrooms is crapola, and I've been using a crappy mirror from an eyeshadow palette for months.

Here is a random picture for you because I hate just having one picture in a post.  This is the picture I have hanging over my desk.  I don't know who the artist is or anything about it really, but my best friend's dad owns a print shop and he had a bunch of prints and posters that he was just going to throw away.  I still have a bunch to frame but I have some really cool ones.  One of my favorites is a Primus poster advertising a show with a robot wearing a moustache and a sign that says "Free Moustache Rides".  I'll have to show you guys some more sometime.

Weird picture, huh?  I think that's why I like it. :)

Thank you for reading and have a great day/night/whatever!

Mail Call! E.l.f. Order

I've owned a few things from e.l.f. over the years- a few eyeshadow quads that I loved pre-makeup-obsession days, a few lip products that were across the board, and an eyeshadow brush that I've used for years and absolutely adore still.  All of these are from e.l.f.'s $1 line though.  So when I saw that they were having a 50% off sale on their higher priced lines, Studio and Mineral, I decided to order.  My total after 50% off and before shipping was $15.  Shipping was an additional $6.95.  They do have codes for free shipping, but you can only use 1 code per order.  My order was shipped in a decent amount of time and I received it today.

I'll eventually get around swatching and reviewing everything.  I'm extremely behind with writing posts.  I have pictures edited for about 25 posts, but no words to go along with them yet, haha.  Is there anything is particular you are curious about?

Thank you for reading and have a great day/night/whatever!

Mail Call! From Across the Pond!

Woohoo!  Look what came in the mail yesterday!  My order of the Avoir La Peche collection from Sleek Makeup (a UK drugstore makeup brand).  International shipping is a bit high, $13.50, so I'll have to try everything and let you know if it's worth it.

Isn't the packaging gorgeous?  And I'm not even packaging crazy!  The collection includes a 12 pan eye shadow palette, a matte orangey- peach blush, and an orangey-peach lip conditioner.  I should have swatches and a review of everything up in a few days.  So excited!

Drugstore Deal of the Century- Physician's Formula at CVS

Okay, I know I said no more hauls.  Well, that lasted about... 2 hours.  But wait, before you judge me, let me explain!  So I knew that Physician's Formula was 40% off this week at CVS.  Physician's Formula is pretty pricey for a drugstore brand so even at 40% off I wasn't going to buy anything.  But then someone left a comment on Nouveau Cheap's post about the weekly drugstore sales that there was a coupon floating around on the internet for $5 off any Physician's Formula.  40% off plus $5 off means you will pay anywhere from nothing to a few bucks per item.  So of course I printed out 50 million coupons (okay, it was 9) and headed over to CVS.  And they took ALL the coupons.  I paid about $15 for $100 worth of makeup.

Oh, before I forget, here is the link to the coupon.

Here is a picture of my receipt (with credit card details blanked out with a noob photoshopper's best friend- clone stamp!)

So these are the 9 items I bought.  4 of the items (the 3 on the right and the eyeshadow) are gifts. I was really hoping to find my favorite drugstore concealer there- Circle Rx Circle Control Concealer, but it was sold out.  Oh well, that just means I get to go buy more stuff at a different CVS!  Oh, and I don't think the concealer makes my dark circles fade at all.  I just love the coverage and the color matches my skin.

So what are you waiting for?  Get thine bum over to CVS NOW!

Thank you for reading and have a great day/night/whatever!

Wait, Where Did All My Money Go?! AKA Recent Hauls

Phew, trying to get new content for a blog is draining... my bank account!  I know buying makeup is a sacrifice I must make for the betterment of my blog and to benefit all you guys.  Because that is totally the only reason I buy makeup- for the blog. Yeah right!  But it does make a good excuse to buy more.  I tell my boyfriend, "But I NEED this... for the blog!"  And he usually gives in.  He's a good boy.

Here are some things I've bought this month.  Plan on seeing swatch pictures and all that good junk soon.  Oh, here is a link to my mall haul from last week.

I LOVE these Sally Girl eyeshadows.  I have about 25 now and I really like how you can connect them together to make your own palette.  Plus, at 94 cents with your Sally Card (99 cents without) these are a steal.

I bought these during HauteLook's (personal invitation link) Urban Decay sale.  Everything I bought was $5 each.

Out of everything this is what I'm most excited about- my Persephone Minerals order.  Seriously, I can't WAIT to show these eyeshadows; they are absolutely beautiful.  I'll probably make this my post for tomorrow.

And last but not least, Urban Decay's Naked palette and Stila Make Me Blush Cheek Color.  I can't believe my local Sephora had Naked in stock.  The SA said that they got in a shipment of 50! I've always been "meh" about the Naked palette but I finally swatched it myself and fell in love.  Plus, I printed out the Beauty Insider 15% off coupon and was able to use it in store.  Yay!  And, I've been wanting that Stila blush FOREVER.  Here is the printable 15% off coupon if anyone is interested.  Coupon is valid until April 21st.

Okay, I think it's time to stop spending money now!  I know this probably seems like a lot but i haven't bought anything for myself in a really long time and just went a little crazy.  A few night ago I bought Sleek's (a British drugstore makeup brand) Avoir La Peche collection from their website.  International shipping was a little steep at $13.50, but after seeing tons of swatches I had to have it!

Also, just because I can, here is a picture of my parents' beagles making out.

Thank you for reading and have a great day/night/whatever!

Mall Haul!

Woo!  A rare double post from me!  I posting again today because I didn't feel like this post would be enough to deserve a day of its own.

So I was bored today and went to the mall.  I rarely go to the mall because, while it isn't too far from where I live, the traffic in the area is terrible.  The only reasons worth going are for the cosmetics counters and Sephora.  I REALLY wanted to buy a lipstick from Dior's revamped Rouge Addict lipstick line (Sephora even has a bunch of exclusives!), but $28.00 is a little much for me to be spending on lipstick right now.  Especially since I rarely wear lipstick.  I tend to be pretty impulsive so I was proud of myself for say no.  Haha, it's the little things, isn't it?  I got more satisfaction from having self-control and saying no versus actually buying the lipstick.  Well at least that's what I've been telling myself.

Here is what I got.  Swatches of everything coming soon!

From MAC:
  • Cremesheen Glass in Double Dare
From Estee Lauder:
  • Blush in Radiant Peach
From Sephora:
  • The Body Shop mini Satsuma Body Butter
  • Shiseido SPF 55 sunscreen for face
  • Benefit's Feelin' Cheeky mini set

And because this post is so short, here are a few cute pictures of my dogs!

Hello! And a Revlon 40% off haul

Hey everyone!  This is a first post on a new blog so I know that no one will read this (except maybe in the future when my blog is super successful and we all go back to the begining to look at my crappy pictures and see how far i have come, haha!).

I originally meant for this to be a nail polish blog, but I've grown and widened my horizons and am now equally obsessed with makeup.  I do not discriminate between drugstore and higher end brands and just use what works for him.  However, I am pretty cheap and love getting the most for my money so most of my big "hauls" are drugstore makeup.

This week at Walgreens Revlon cosmetics are 40% off (excluding Colorburst).  Oh, I just thought of something!

*PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT*

ALWAYS ask the Beauty Advisor if they have any coupons.  A lot of the time they have them behind the counter.  I asked mine and she happened to have Revlon coupons for $1 off!

/END ANNOUNCEMENT

So, in addition to the 40% off, each item was also $1 off.  But since you get $3 dollars off your next purchase when you spend $10 on Revlon, I was able to split my purchase into two and got $3 MORE dollars off the second half.  I got all the following for about $25 including tax when it retails for over $60 with tax.  Yay saving money!

Revlon haul with flash

Revlon haul under regular light bulb (no flash)
I bought the following items:
