First of all a confession- I am TERRIBLE at nail art. Anything beyond slapping a few coats of polish on my nails is completely beyond me. I can stamp, water marble, dot, gradient... anything. This is how all my nail art attempts end up. So when a group I'm in had a challenge to do a plastic wrap nail art thing I knew I had to be crazy to even try (here is the picture tutorial for it). I actually kind of like how it turned out. Surprisingly. And don't ask me to do it again because it will never happen. Of course my one miracle in life would be that I happened to be semi-successful at nail art that one time. Haha.
I first did a base of Zoya Kennedy (this was probably unnecessary as the colors I used on top ended up being opaque enough). On top I blobbed on three Wet n Wild Megalast colors- Club Havana, I Need A Refresh-Mint, and On A Trip and smooshed them around with plastic wrap. I needed some sparkles so I used Pure Ice Busted on top of all that.
And of course, the obligatory pug picture. We have a pear tree in our backyard and the pears are just about ripe. For the past several months the tree has been dropping even the unripe pears like crazy. My silly dogs, especially my pug, LOVE those damn pears. They will sit outside all day eating them. So, I give you a picture of a pug eating a pear.
I love how this came out and I love the sparkles on top and how it brings everything together! As always, I LOVE your pug pics! Look at that little tongue!!! SO frickin cute! PS HOw's life?
ReplyDeleteLove the nails and love the pug pictures!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job! I'm terrible at nail art but this looks like something I could (try) to do. Also, your pug is the cutest. :)
ReplyDeleteYou did a really great job! It reminds me of a tamer, more colorful version of Lohan's infamous courthouse manicure. LOL. I bought some dotting tools a couple of weeks before Dan and I broke up, but then... you know what happened. So I haven't gotten around to using them yet.
ReplyDeleteSammy looks so happy with her pear. Whenever someone in the house is eating meat, Zoe and Jazz won't give them peace and leave them alone. Zoe will devour almost everything. I even caught her chewing on some mango skins I threw away. Haha.
I actually like the colors you picked more than the ones linked in the tutorial. The glitter topcoat really pulled it together I think.
ReplyDeleteYour dog! Oh my gosh so cute. I want to hug it
This is AWESOME! You do nails better than I do, like a million times better.
ReplyDeleteAND! I DEMAND MORE PUG PHOTOS!
Wow, this is so pretty. I feel like I'm being hypnotised looking at your nails!
ReplyDeleteWow this is so awesome!!! I think the glitter top coat makes it look wicked :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations :)
Your puppy is adorable. At least it's only a pear, my silly dog pulls everything out of the trash can and then eats all of the food scraps. Not so cute...
AW, he eats pears, too cute! This came out really well! It looks so neat under that sparkly top coat!
ReplyDeleteI can't do nail art at all either, I think my hands are too shaky. But this looks really good! I particularly like the glitter overlay :)
