I fell in love with flakie polishes the first instant I saw them. I was lucky enough to be able to snap up Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure when it came out like 2 years ago. I was torn between using it all the time because I loved it so much and never using it because I loved it so much and didn't want to run out, haha. So I was glad when polish manufacturers finally realized how awesome flakies were and they became more readily available. If you don't own one you need to rectify that situation immediately! I know Essie runs a little bit on the higher side for a drugstore polish (although it used to be salon only!) but Shine of The Times is a must own (it's basically a Hidden Treasure dupe).
This was back when my nails were long and pretty. Sigh. I need to start taking my biotin again...
This is 2 coats on Nicole by OPI Party in The Penthouse with a coat of Essie Shine of the Times on top.
I love this combo!! You were the one to introduce me to Hidden Treasure! I have Nubar 2010, but I think I need Shine of The Times now too! (PS, if you ever need a cheap Essie hookup, I'm your gal- I can get them with my license ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to have backups! I need some Nubar polishes too. I don't know how I've gone so long without any. And ooooh about the Essies. How much do you get them for?
DeleteOmg, HOW pretty and summery! I love flakies too - if I ever feel the need to be "smart" and wear a nude polish, I always stick flakies on it :D
ReplyDeleteOooh, I think I need to do a nude with flakies next!
DeleteI looooove Shine Of The Times. This nail look is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mandy! Flakies are my favorite polishes I think!
DeleteI LOVE LOV Shine of the Times. I actually JUST did a NOTD with Shine of Times for a post next week. I think I use it once every week! lol
ReplyDeleteI once saw Hidden Treasure at Walgreens for $10, and I considered buying it even though the price was more than what CSM usually costs. Sigh. I skipped out on it. I think I'll get Shine of the Times or Nubar 2010 instead.
ReplyDeleteJessi, if you get a chance, fill out this week's Tuesday Talk. I want to hear what everyone has to say about #3. :D
Love Essie Shine of the Times!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to ur franken making stuff? Are you still making frankens?
I don't have any of my supplies with me! You've made me want to start frankening again. I need to buy more stuff!
DeleteAwesome! I got Shine of the Times when it came out and I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a beautiful combination!
ReplyDeleteFlakies are just the best polishes ever! This looks amazing :)
