Team Pink Eye Project for Susan G. Komen Passionately Pink for the Cure AND A GIVEAWAY!

It's the end of October and almost the end of the month long celebration of all things boobs. Oh wait, that isn't what this month was about? By now, everyone and their moms, grandmas, great-aunt's sister's cousin's dogs know about Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So I guess that means that the awareness part is working. But sometimes we need to do more than just be aware. Being aware of a disease never saved anyone. It's just the first step. To take that first step even further Project Pink Eye was developed to raise money to support breast cancer research through Susan G Komen for the Cure.

I am hosting a giveaway (sponsored by Cinnamon Cosmetics and Team Pink Eye, not Susan G Komen) to help raise money for research. Other blogs are hosting giveaways as well, so keep reading to see how you can enter them all.

Here is what you can win- a four piece eyeshadow collection from Cinnamon Cosmetics. According to the owner, Candace, "I'll be giving away "The Sirens Collection" which includes the colors Audrey, Bettie, Lana and Julie.  The colors are a collection of pinks and purples all inspired by Hollywood sirens. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these eye shadows go to benefit the Susan G Komen Foundation through Team Pink Eye all year long."

Recent Purchases and An Upcoming Giveaway

Hey guys!  Here is a rare double post from me.  Some days I don't feel like even thinking about writing blog posts and some days I feel like writing 500.  Today is one of those 500 days, but I'm going to restrain myself and settle for 2!

Oh, I made a Facebook page for the blog.  There isn't much going on over there at the moment, but if you want, you can head over and "Like" me- Lacquered, Painted, Polished on Facebook.

You may have guessed from "hint" in the title, but I have a giveaway coming up soon!  Soon as in, I'll be posting it in the morning!  I know I just had one a month ago, but I had a few things left to give away and I had such a fun time doing it last time I had to do another.  My boyfriend told me I shouldn't do one so soon after the last one. But I told him that I already had the stuff for it. He eventually just said, "Well, tell your friends that they can't be expecting a giveaway every month because I already have one woman (meaning me) spending all my money and I don't think I can afford any more."  He makes me laugh.  He pretends to be all crotchety, but he's really just a huge goofball.

Anyway, here are a few things I've bought recently.  Some of it may look a little familiar tomorrow when you see the giveaway, as a few things are meant for it.

These are mostly Finger Paints polishes I bought from Sally Beauty Supply.  Most of them were on clearance for $1.99.  I also couldn't resist picking up the turquoise China Glaze Crackle. The Sally Girl mini polish is for frankening.

I've had several cards with store credit for Sephora for the longest time.  I was saving them to buy the new MUFE liquid eyeliners but I got tired of waiting for my Sephora to stock them so I just bought other stuff.  I've been wanting the Lorac palette for the longest time but I knew that I would never use the bronzing luminizer tube.  So that is going in the giveaway.

Giveaway Winner! UPDATE

UPDATE: Okay, here I am posting this again.  This giveaway thing has turned into a big headache!  I went into offering the giveaway with the best of intentions and probably have come off seeming like a jerk, and I'll tell you why.  In my excitement to pick a winner, I emailed them before I checked to see if they followed me via GFC or on Twitter (because they retweeted and that was one of the stipulations).  And it turned out they did not follow me either place.  So I asked them about the GFC thing because I noticed that first, but they told me they probably accidentally unfollowed me when they reached the 300 max following limit.  I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I discovered they weren't following me on Twitter either.  I meant for this giveaway as a thank you to the people who read my blog, and while of course I can't be sure that everyone who enters actually does, it was proven twice to me that the original winner didn't bother to follow the rules and even wait to unfollow me until the giveaway was over (which is still a mean thing to do, I think).

I hate drama and didn't want to create any, but I really feel like I need to pick a new winner.  I don't think it would be fair to the people who actually did play by the rules.

Giveaway Update and a Pink EOTD
