More 69 cent Wet n Wild Lipstick Swatch Spam!

Okay, I'm officially obsessed with these lipsticks and I feel like I need to collect them all.  Well, all the ones that have a remote chance of looking good on me.  Yes, that means I'm excluding you frosty turd brown.  Sorry.  I refuse to pay even 69 cents for you.  I'm sure someone out there can pull you off, I'm just not convinced it's me.

This is a continuation of this post right hurr. Right now until the end of May Wet n Wild lipsticks, eye liners, lip liners, brow pencils, and nail polishes that are normally $0.99 are on sale for $0.69.  I figured this was the perfect time to develop a fascination with lipsticks.  Might as well start small right?  I did almost buy a Dior Addict lipstick at Sephora the other day.  But I don't think I'm quite ready to make the jump from paying 69 cents to paying $28 just yet.

So how to we feel about a little lipstick swatch spam?  I had bought and swatched 7 lipsticks for this post but I waited so long to post it them I have since bought another.  So here are 8 (!) lipsticks, swatches, and lip swatches.  My lips hurt so bad after swatching this many!

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso on cheeks

Hello everyone!  I was wearing Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso today and I realized I had only done an arm swatch in my original review (here) and never showed it on my face.  It is a very natural looking blush on me and would probably work more as a highlighter on darker skin tones.  So if you are very fair and are looking for a nice blush this one is for you.  My cheeks are naturally pretty pink and I like how the peach tones in this sort of mask the pink instead of enhancing it and making me look like I have a fever or a sunburn.

Several Zoya Nail Polish Swatches

So, as you may know, Zoya's Nail Polish Exchange is going on this week.  What is pretty much boils down to is that you get polish for $4 a bottle, whic includes shipping.  Zoya's polishes normally sell for $8 each.  All you have to do is mail one of your old yucky polishes to Zoya for every polish you buy.  Zoya then disposes of the old stuff in a safe way.  This is a great opportunity to get some great polishes and dispose of unloved nail polish in a healthy way.  You have nothing to lose!

So here are a few Zoya swatches to tempt you.  These are all swatched with no top or base coat.

Lola is a neon pink with blue shimmer.  This was 4 coats.  Zoya polishes tend to be a bit thin and sheer but the coats dry quickly and don't get too thick or gunky.

Adina is a gorgeous duochrome shimmer that shifts from a lavender purple to green.  This is 3 coats.

Kelly is a dark grey creme that is supposed to lean purple, but I don't really see the purple against my skin tone.  This was 3 coats.

Zoya Ivanka in the sun

Ivanka is a grass green glass fleck shimmer. My boyfriend claims it looks like a mermaid.  This was 4 coats and probably could have used a 5th, but it dried quickly.

Crystal is a light blue shimmer with small gold metallic flakes.  The boy says this one looks like a fish, haha.  This was 3 coats, but was decently opaque at 2.

Zoya Polish Exchange Time!

MAC Cremesheen Glass in Double Dare Is Better Than Viva Glam Cyndi Lipglass

Did you read the title?  A bold assertion, eh?  I know that Viva Glam Cyndi lipglass is widely beloved but it just doesn't do it for me.  I LOVE the lipstick, though.  So I was at the MAC counter the other week checking out the Quite Cute collection. (As a side note, those Plushglasses were awful. I have never had a reaction to a product really, but these gave me a rash around my mouth, and my upper lip, where my mustache would be if I had one ;-), got super swollen.  It looked gross.)  I didn't find anything from the collection I needed so I ambled over to the Cremesheen Glass display- my favorite lipglosses.

I saw Double Dare and it immediately reminded me of Cyndi.  So I whipped out my Cyndi lipglass and lipstick to compare.  Double Dare is a more sheer, less orange and no shimmer Cremesheen Glass version of Cyndi- aka exactly what I wished Cyndi had been.  (I have a comparison I'll show you in a bit.)  So you better believe I bought that puppy.

The color looks lighter in the tube than it is in real life.  It looks like a dark pink here but it's more of a coral red.

As you can see Cyndi lipglass is more orange, thicker, more pigmented, and has shimmer.  However, I think Double Dare matches Cyndi lipstick better than the Cyndi lipglass matches it!

Random NOTD: Hidden Treasure over OPI's I'm His Coral Friend Matte

Hey guys!  Hope your Tuesday went well.  Mine wasn't bad- got some errands done, that kind of booooring stuff.  I was cleaning out my picture folder on my computer and found this pic of a mani from several months ago.  I wish I had though to take pics in the sun before I removed it!  Still, I love this and will probably recreate it some time in the future.

This is 3 coats of OPI I'm His Coral Friend as a base, which is a bright red-orange coral jelly.  I then topped it with 1 coat of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure flaky polish and a coat of China Glaze Matte Magic top coat to make it matte.  I wish I was able to capture that the flakies still change color with a matte top coat, but you'll just have to take my word for it!

This is taken under a light bulb which makes my skin look sickly and yellow, yay!

I Heart This Blush- Stila Make Me Blush Cheek Color and swatches

Apparently Sunday was my day to buy heart-embossed blushes because I bought Stila's Make Me Blush AND both shades of Physician's Formula Happy Booster blushes.  I was super excited to find the Stila blush at my local Sephora because it was limited edition and sold out on Sephora's website and Stila's.  With limited edition items I'm so afraid of getting sucked into "OMG! HAFTA buy before it disapears FOREVER!!!!" mentality (a la MAC's LE collections) that I put off buying it because I want to make sure I really want it.  Of course I end up waiting too long and it does disappear forever or I have to spend a fortune for it on eBay.  For example, I regret not buying Kat Von D's Memento Mori palette so much.  I keep a look out for it on eBay and the last one I saw sold for over $80!!  For a palette that retailed for less than $40!  Yikes.

So I'm glad I was able to get my hands on this blush, especially since I'm blush obsessed at the moment.  So does the blush meet my expectations?  Lets find out!

The 4 gold hearts are just an over spray.  It is super glittery, but wipes off easily.  I just wiped mine off with a cotton ball.

 The first swatch is just the over spray and then it is the over spray mixed with the blush.  The third swatch is all the heart colors mixed together and swatched heavily while the last swatch is the blush blended out.

The color is a very pretty and flattering pinky coral shimmer.  On pale skin you need to make sure not too apply too much because it is very easy to overdo.  For this cheek swatch I actually had to wash it off and reapply because I put waaay too much the first time.  This is still more blush than I usually wear, but I wanted to clearly show the color.  The eye shadows are by Persephone Minerals and are from this post.

Pros:

• Great pigmentation
• Cute design
• Overly-glittery gold spray wipes off easily
• Good price if you can find it for $14
• Non-powdery texture that blends well

Cons:

• Need to be careful not to apply too much on fair skin
• Limited edition item and can be difficult to find
